** This Ad is Marked as SOLD by seller and cannot be responded to. ** Foundation Research is a well known Canadian company that produces fine quality line filters and preamps. The LC1, LC2 and LC100 are basically good quality power cords with a line filter built into them. They are bi-directional noise filtration systems. They stop a great deal of power line noise from entering audio equipment and also stop the audio equipment from injecting noise back into the power line and hence into other components. This is why an individual filter per audio component is so desirable. Each component receives a largely isolated source of nearly noise free ac power. The LC1 is designed for source components, the LC2 for amps up to about 240 watts, and the LC100 for super amps above that rating. However, there is no problem using the LC2 for your source components also; people have reported that they like the LC2 better than the LC1 on their CD players. If you're in the used market, they don't show up all that often, and at this price it won't cost as much to use the LC2 on a source as having to buy a new LC1! UHF and The Inner Ear magazines use LCs in their reference systems. I have two LC2s, priced at $495.00 each. (Retail is $995.00) Bank draft, money order, email or wire transfer is preferred.
