Fidelity Research most advanced high-end toroidal step-up transformer for low-impedance MC cartridges(1980), the AGT-5X employs pure silver for all coil and wiring including the output cables. This unit has no cartridge/tonearm selector, impedance selector, or pass switch, so that connectors and contacts are reduced to the absolute minimum. Thereby avoiding signal degradation and improving sound quality. Internal leads have been made extremely short which along with the use of pure silver wiring helps to explain this unit's capability for extremely accurate response to the most delicate signal nuances.
