The Blue Circle USB Thingee is the missing link between your computer and your stereo system. This ugly little cylinder with its built-in fully operational DAC gets around the gaping hole in the functionality between computers and stereo systems. The sound of the Thingee left the reviewers at UHF slack jawed; it’s that good! Read the review at:

http://www.uhfmag.com/Issue82/Issue82.html.

The basic USB Thingee is only $169 CDN while the Toslink version is
$179 CDN (plus applicable taxes and shipping). The Thingee has a USB input for your computer, and a whole lot of outputs: left and right analog from the built-in DAC, SPDIF coaxial and AES/EBU digital outputs for an external DAC, and even a headphone jack.

Colin Smith in his review in Goodsound wrote: It didn’t take the Blue Circle USB Thingee to convince me that computer-based music systems are the next big thing in audio -- I jumped on that bandwagon years ago. But the USB Thingee is proof positive that, with a computer and an inexpensive converter, it’s possible to assemble a digital source that easily keeps up with +$2000 standalone players. Yes, other very good USB converters and USB DACs are available, but in my experience, none offers the USB Thingee’s winning combination of high-level performance and superb value. It might not be pretty to look at, but Blue Circle Audio’s USB Thingee is indeed a rose.
