Update 3/19: The V2 (current version) F212s in the pictures are both sold now. I do still have the pair of V1s available.

Bit of a long shot here as the only way trading a big heavy amp for a (probably) bigger, heavier sub is if the person with the amp can bring the amp to me in 22903. But, playing around with some ideas for my system, and figured it was worth a shot.

Trade value to be determined using HiFiShark to check completed listings. NOT something like Audiogon bluebook which doesn't generally provide a very good picture of current market values. And using HiFiShark doesn't cost anything.

Regarding Amps I Might Consider
To start, obviously the Krells mentioned in the title. I have a Luxman M-800A powering my V1 Salons and curious to hear what it would sound like if I lightened its load by using something beefy in bi-amp config to power the bottom end of the speakers. I've had the FPB series Krells and know I like them. KSA series also interests me with a preference towards the "S" series because they pump out less heat at idle.

Will consider other amps known for high power, great bass control and stability into low impedance loads as long as we put a value on it where I won't have much trouble getting my money back out of it if/when I move on to another idea. Also, while I'm flexible on cosmetic condition if the trade value reflects it I'm pretty picky about what I like with styling. My gear is all "exposed" and there are some very good amplifier brands that I skip right over because I wouldn't like looking at them in my system. So if I turn down an offer for your great sounding amp because I don't like the way it looks please don't take offense .... it's me, not you.

Total long shot as these are getting really tough to find but I love the Denon POA-A1HDCI amps I use for surrounds and wouldn't mind another one as a spare.

About the Sub
Got a good enough deal on 2 of the current version F212s to replace two of the three F113V2s I was using. The third is in the back corner of the room and used just to balance things out ... plus it can't be seen ... so thought I'd be OK leaving that as-is. When a package deal on a pair of V1s still sitting at the JL factory re-certified to 100% new condition (JL's words) my OCD got the better of me and bought those too. Only have the need for one of them.

Re-cased, scrutinized to the point where they even replace small value caps in the amps if they're slightly out of spec and any upgrades that were made during the product run are applied. Done BY JL AT the JL factory. Not one of the assembly line warranty warehouses that most high-end companies farm out to these days. Documentation of the time spent at JL and associated cost will be provided if a deal is made.

Sitting beside my brand new V2s condition is identical and the only way you can tell them apart is the V2 designation on the back plate and one additional word silk screened on the V2 control panel. Brand new factory boxes/packaging, grill still in the wrapper and unused Mic kit.

Please feel free to reach out and send me a number and good time to call if you'd like to discuss.
