Santa didn't come through? I get it. This unit may help settle the disappointment. I have a unit that has a first hand upgrade. In fact, it has gone further in rebuild than many of the units before it that sold for $225.00. I got the itch to replace most anything on the board that I could. Normally, I replace the electrolytic power capacitors, 25 or so resistors, and RCA jacks. This time, I chose to replace ALMOST every single Mylar capacitor with WIMA poly caps that are 2.5% instead of the usual 10%. I think that was another 25 extra capacitors replaced right there. Then I looked at the resistors on the board, and did nearly the same thing. Seems like that amounted to an extra 25 resistors that were originally 5% tolerance carbon film, and now are 1-2% low noise metal film by KOA/SPEER, and other high quality brands. Of course, all of the C-9 units that I rebuild now days have a new larger transformer, replaced power cord, and AC switch. Not to mention the silicone rubber feet instead of the hard rubber little dots that always come off. I will include photos of the inside tomorrow. This is really one of the better deals that I have had on the site for quite a bit.

UPDATE: There is an option for the integrated circuits. I have found a rare circuit made by Raytheon. Originally, these chips were used for military and are of the highest specification that I have seen. Notably, the fact that they are encased in a metal jacket says something about them. They will take heat beyond the range of the usual IC chips. I offer them at $20 EACH. Because of my limited stock, I will only offer two of them.... One for the input buffer, and one for the output buffer.
