My favorite tape player, period, ever. I had this model twice. The first one was sold for $1000 two years ago, when I decided to get rid of tapes. Then I bought this second one when I changed my mind and decide to keep all the tapes.

For those who know what I am talking about, I had Nakamichi CR-5, CR-7, RX-505, BX-300, and Sony TC-K909ES, and numerous other two heads deck and top end auto-reverse models. Only CR-7 was of equally pleasing sound quality as this deck! But I sold that one also long time ago. It has incredible Dolby C performance.

What's wrong: it has been serviced and worked this year. I played it in March. At some point the playback stopped to engage. It produced the appropriate sound, but did not stay engaged. I took it to my mech, who help it for couple of month, and said he was not able to fix. As he claimed the belts were put replaced/checked in March. After having checked it last week, I wasn't able to open/close the tape door, previously working. I'd rather someone else who either have skills to fix the hi-end decks themselves, or have access to a good repairman, fix it and enjoy it for years.

It's got wood side panels, overall cosmetics are EXC+

I invested about $900 in it. Bought for $600 plus services twice.

Shipping in lower 54 states of US will be $30, I'll take care of the rest.
