Lower price. One time shot to buy a very storied and unique piece of ultra high end stereo gear.
The Emitter II Exclusive Blue Edition is a 4 box MOSFET amplifier rated at 250 per channel at 8, but can do 1400 per into 1 ohm. The Emitter line has been in production since 1985, making it one of the longest runs of its kind in audio history, the lucky owners have nothing but good to say about them, including David Chesky, who proclaimed this to be the "ultimate amp for the Quad 57's". This amp is a first choice for all panel speakers, to be honest. Worldwide award winners, repeat in some cases. Amazing pieces of art and engineering!
For those who don't recognize the brand, they are out of Germany, and have been around since 1982. They are distributed in N. America by Audioarts in NYC. This is a 115v model.
The main unit is steel, acrylic and aluminum. All boards are 24k, ASR uses Elkos caps, Philbert-Mantelschnitt transformers, solid brass transistor mounting bars, Harting locking plugs, silver cables, etc. Everything inside is top notch! There are 3 power supplies, one is the optional battery supply, which will run the input stage of the amp in pure D.C. mode for up to 100 hours. Other options include phono, the remote out jack for chaining more Emitter amps together, an extra balanced input, and a pre or sub out pair. See the photos. This unit is a 2011 model.
As mentioned, this is 4 units with 4 original boxes. The total weight is around 360 pounds packed up, and must be picked up or shipped on a pallet.
This is a $30,000.00 amp as it sits, it's for sale at $10,000.
PayPal adds the full fee, or pay cash upon pickup.
Trade options for compelling Japanese high end components considered, like Sony's R series, Denon's S series, etc.
A Stereophile review had an earlier version of this amp driving Wilson MAXX-2 speakers. The reviewer concluded that this was the best he'd ever heard these speakers -- ever.
PLEASE, serious parties only.
