That which has been is that which will be, And that which has been done is that which will be done. So there is nothing new under the sun.... (Ecclesiastes 1:8)
And that, in a nutshell, is the cycle of life in the grand scheme of things. Perhaps, since nothing is new under the sun, they should call it the recycle of life. Heck, there are even people who think that our very souls, the core of our being, are brought back into existence time and time again, perhaps as a cow or a blade of grass or even a Jiffy Lube oil changer, reincarnated as reward or punishment for past deeds of good or ill, as if life is a series of notches on a cosmic tally stick, our actions, the credits of virtue and the debits of evil, fastidiously observed and recorded by an omnipotent bookkeeper of sorts, these assets and liabilities culminating in one's eternal fate.
Damn, my coffee is stronger than usual this morning!
If that's the case, that everything is a product of a vast, eternal recycling program, then I don't have to wonder what type of person this pair of Advent speakers was in his or her past life; the qualities of that previous person are reflected in this present reincarnation! That person was well-balanced: Neither shrill or clangorous or strident in any way, nor lethargic or brooding. Simply, not prone to excesses of any sort. That person was harmonious, absolutely pleasing in all aspects. Given any situation, even chaos and anarchy, he or she would find order and purpose. That person was expressive and nuanced, able to convey thought and feeling in ways others could understand no matter how subtle the meaning. Truth, also, was important to this person. This is made evident in the way these speakers always stay accurate to the source material without suborning or coloring what was originally recorded. And above all else, that person was a lover of music. All kinds of music, which is why that person was rewarded by becoming this pair of Advent speakers.
By owning these, you'll be rewarded, too. Rewarded by the sight of these lovely minty vintage speakers sitting in your favorite music listening spot. Rewarded by the sound that washes over you as you listen to them, cleansing your mind of burdens and bothers. Rewarded, too, by the knowledge that another notch has been credited to your tally stick, possibly preventing you from reincarnating into a whisk broom or penguin or, God forbid, a Jiffy Lube oil changer in your next life.
We're in downtown Windsor. Price is firm. Note that new foams have been applied to the woofers. Also, these are walnut veneered, not vinyl "utilities." Local pick-up strongly encouraged.
