Asking $650 / OBO including shipping to Continental USA.
For sale is a First Watt Clone amplifier I assembled recently. I have built a number of Pass clone amps recently and my system synergy is slightly better with a different amp, so this is ready for the next owner.
I used the sanctioned boards from DIYaudio for the circuit and power supply. Top notch parts used throughout. Matched Toshiba 2sk74bl jfets, Silmic electrolytics in the audio circuit. Neutrik xlr inputs, gold plated 5-way binding posts. All wiring after the power supply board is teflon coated silver plated mil-spec. Antek 400VA shielded power transformer.
The chassis is the Hifi2000 DIYaudio 4U deluxe aluminum chassis with plenty of heat sinking for this amplifier. It runs warm, maybe 50 degrees C, but well below maximums for the transistors. The transformer is somewhat shielded from the circuit with the riser panels as shown in the photos. The baseplate ads strength, rigidity, and added cooling capabilities to the build.
The build is rated 7/10 for DIY nature of construction.
Sound is typical First Watt / Pass, nice spectrum, balanced, not in your face. This is an amp that works great with many speakers that only need the 25 Class A watts it outputs.
The amp is 18 x 14 x 7 inches in dimension, and weighs 33 pounds.
I will sell and ship only to the continental USA, shipping is included in the asking price.
Sold AS IS. No returns. It has functioned without a hiccup since I first powered it up.
