The flagship receiver for Pioneer Elite in its day, the VSX-09TX was the first receiver to have THX certification from Lucas labs. A full copper chassis is also unique to this receiver, an audiophiles dream.

The MSRP on this was $1,750 USD for a reason - it is so well built. It comes with a hefty copper shielded chassis, attractive rosewood side panels and the ever present Elite "Urushi" finish. All controls operate cleanly with a nice precise feel. All input connectors are gold plated.
