Selling a DIY 6w vFET single-ended power amp. Uses one 2SK82 vFETs per channel and an IXYS mosfets for the constant-current source.
It's based on the L'amp series of articles by Michael Rothacher on DIYAUDIO.COM. It's triode in a transistor!
Uses Avel-Linberg and Antek transformers. Capacitor coupled, so no DC at output. Output cap is by-passed by higher quality film cap.
The case is over-sized and over-kill for the design, therefore it's heavy.

Faceplate is an untreated, light colored wood poplar. Can upload pic later.
The midrange is comparable to tube triodes, but better lows and highs (not rolled off) than tubes in the same power range. Fantastic vocals. Great amp for jazz and simple classical, with the right speakers. The bass will surprise. Rating it "fair" for case work, but sound is excellent. Been using it on and off for several years with no problems. If I want to compare two amp's sound, I start with this one. Few amps can top it's midrange. It's palpable.
Minimum speaker requirement:
8 Ohm minimum. Power is 3 watts at 4 ohms.
90db efficiency minimum in a small room.
95db is a better match.
Extra 2SK82 vFETs (KD-33) $25 each to buyer. Going for $50 on web, if you can find them.
Will throw in free spare mosfets.
Reason for selling is I have 8 amplifiers and already have vFet mono blocks.
Local pick. You can hear the amp before buying. Serious inquiries only. Prefer to sell to someone with DIY audio experience.

Price is firm.
