Some unused.
Some used a couple of hours up to 20 hours, so most are broken in.

Philips Amperex 12AX7 tubes stamped Electrohome
ECC83 / 12AX7 ELECTROHOME TUBES:
161 - I65
AY
A6
-r coded
-short grey ladder plate,
-round top getter.
-4 ridges/seams at the top of the tube
-They are the I65 type,
Code: I65
Identified by:
- ring getter
- similar to Heerlen I65 tube
-Made in the early !960's

These Philip Electrohome I65-type tubes are some of the best sounding 12AX7’s ever made.
Just like Bugle Boys they are famous for their solid bass, warm mids, and fabulous highs!
These are essentially for all intents and purposes Bugle Boys only without the stamping/branding, given the production of these tubes were originally destined for the organ/console market during the 1960's.
Tubes look exactly like the Electrohome pictured.
They do not have the the stamped bugle boys logo, however this was common during this period of rebranding at the factory.
Electronic companies deceived the pubic by saying stuff like "use only genuine Zenith tubes" etc. Inked production number says AY
PHILIPS ELECTROHOME 12AX7

All great tested readings of:
1250/1250
1250/1275
1225/1200
1200/1275

-No gas or shorts!

These Philip Electrohome I65-type tubes are some of the best sounding 12AX7’s ever made.
They are famous for their solid bass, warm mids, and fabulous highs!

Amperex which was own by Philips also re-labeled tubes from many sources, as did most companies of the time period.
Many were from Heerlan, Holland (with a delta-shaped factory etch code)
The Bugle Boy 12AX7 was made in the Heerlan factory.
There were at least five different distinct variations of that tube type, depending on the date of manufacturing.

Tube aficionado's know these tubes to be and sound among the best ever made!!!!

These tubes have most quiet, low noise distinct sonic characteristics and sound very good, no modern current made tubes are quite as good as these vintage tubes!

Philips owns Amperex and made + sold tubes stamped-branded Electrohome which bought tubes from Phillips, and the tubes they used are the same design, and had the same final testing as Amperex, Philips or Bugle Boy tubes.

Philips Amperex ECC83 7025 12AX7 tubes branded Electrohome
Made the same as Bugle Boys, however without the stampings!
The 7025 tube is a low hum, noise and microphonics version of the 12AX7
Which you can read about here:

http://www.radiomuseum.org/tubes/tube_7025.html
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/12AX7

All have been recently tested showing very strong without any shorts or leaks!

Excellent tubes for use in phono stages / where low noise and balanced sections are required.

These tubes are all so sonically pleasing, they sound excellent!
These tubes offered are excellent sounding, however some of the stampings are not all perfect,
given these tubes are from the 1960-70's

*$100.00 a matched pair

Payment by: Cash / Canada Post money order / ETM-Interac e-Transfer

You could pay more......but these excellent tubes are available now @ 100.00 a matched pair!

Any purchases over $150.00 and shipping is free!
Shipping is by Canada Post
Local Toronto GTA cash pick up is preferred.
For all GTA/Toronto and local buyers I have a good working B+K tube tester here, or you can bring your tester/amp with you if you like, and test before you buy!

We also have some more Vintage 1960's Philips Amperex (like Bugle Boys) ECC83 / 12AX7 tubes are now available
(Some of the stamping is wearing off due to age)
Given this only issue, these tubes are discounted @ $80.00 for a pair!
However all tubes test very strong and sound is excellent!

Founded in 1907, Electrohome was Canada's largest manufacturer of television sets (TVs) from 1949 to 1984.
The company was also involved in television broadcasting, and was a leader in data, video, graphics displays and projectors.
From 1984 to 1999, Electrohome-branded TVs were produced under licence by Mitsubishi Electric, and from 1999 to 2007 by Jutan (distributed by Canadian distributor Citizen Electronics).
The company underwent an orderly wind-up in late 2008. In February 2010, the Electrohome brand was acquired by Bluetronics Group a division of Circus World Displays Limited (CWD).
On March 5, 2007, the Redmond Group of Companies announced the purchase of Electrohome brands effective January 1, 2008.[1] Later that month, on March 27, Synnex announced the purchase of the Redmond Group Electrohome assets. [2]
In January 2008, Electrohome announced the sale of all of its trademarks to Synnex Corporation. Electrohome now derived most of its income from its licensing, minor stock holdings in Mechdyne/Fakespace Systems which provides visualization solutions for data analysis, and owns digital cinema firm Immersion Studios.
The company began an orderly wind-up in late 2008.[3] In February 2010, the Electrohome brand was acquired by Bluetronics Group, a division of Circus World Displays Limited (CWD). Also included in the purchase were the rights to Magnasonic, Secureguard and Citizen (Canada only) brands, amongst many others.
Based in Niagara Falls, Canada, CWD also owns and operates other brands including Fluance, Nyrius, Levana, SVAT, Defender and Pure Therapy
