For sale, new open box Creek Evolution 100A integrated amp with Ruby DAC. I enjoyed this system for about 50 hours as it passed through my house. It still needs about 50 hours on the amp and DAC to fully open up; but I enjoyed it right out of the box. Retail price is $3598 ($4065 after taxes) - Amp $2798, Ruby DAC $799; offered here for $2,850. Save a grand for the privilege of letting me listen to it for a few hours. As you will see in the pictures, the manual, remote, batteries etc. have not even been opened; and the faceplate plastic cover is still on.

This is a great all in one amplifier with Wolfson DAC and bonus tuner. It operates in Class G (unlike the 50A which is class A/B); Class G gives it lots of power when needed (worth reading up on). Puts out 110 watts into 8 ohms, 170 watts into 4 ohms.

Don't let the slim line fool you, this amp has a heavy transformer in it, and has lots of juice. It uses a massive 360 Watt, low profile, toroidal mains transformer, with multiple windings for high and low voltages and current, to separate the power amp, pre-amp and digital circuitry.

The RUBY DAC features 2 x 24/192 SPDIF, 2 x TOSLINK digital inputs, 24/96 USB, Bluetooth and FM radio inputs, in addition to 4 analogue line inputs.

It is a very musical and dynamic amp, fast response time, very smooth. Notes just appear. Bass presence is strong and tight, mid range rich and high end clear and sparkling.

While auditioning it, I listened to every style of music in my large collection... jazz, blues, rock, folk, opera, classical, world music, old recordings, new recordings, bad recordings, audiophile recordings - there was nothing I played that I did not enjoy immensely! Even Genesis from the early 70's which is notoriously badly recorded and Jan Garbarek's - who's saxophone I like but it wears on me its so sharp - no problem- I listened to a whole playlist. No listening fatigue.

I use 87db speakers, and the amp did not even break a sweat while listening at higher volumes. . Tight! One nice feature is it comes with four sets of speaker outputs and configurable to A+B or A, B).

For safety it has built in surge protection and thermal protection.

The amp configuration is driven off the front panel controls. Very intuitive, easy to use.

And it has a headphone jack... which can be configured to cut out speakers or play along.

The amp is securely encased in foam and shipped in a stiff cardboard shipping container, so no worries about shipping; but it is also available for drop off on the 410/403 corridor between London and Toronto or close vicinity to London or GTA. Interac or cash preferred, PayPal ok. Buyer pays for PayPal fees, shipping and insurance

There are many positive reviews on the net about this amp, rightfully so. Here are a few:
