July 18...PENDING SALE - deposit in hand

But...some chance the speakers may be available from new owner.

Also..I may be putting together another set - v similar to this one, but for speakers.

Fairly unique opportunity here.

Free delivery to Vancouver or Victoria.

Most power pieces serviced.

Includes"

SPX-11000 speaker set - 4 cabinets, 16 drivers total. "Kabuki Kings".
- 7.5 possibly 8 out of 10, as compared to several other unrestored sets
- few little nicks and chips, but nothing major...photo of probably worst one
- all grills present and all good. all pins good, few scratches and nicks
- working and sounding good (as compared to other Sansui, very good) - I personally don't think much of the sound quality , but others seem very smitten. Either audition first, or buy for the collectability/rarity (I did).
- one of special tube type connectors has plastic center post broken out - not a big deal, just a little more care when joining cabinets
- been with same owner for 25 years (second owner)
- one round mid has a sloppy repair to a damaged cone, but works well...I am on hunt for replacement
- bit of rub/scuff mark on one woofer
- possible couple other little defects

Au-717 amp
- 8 out of 10 once faceplate and case cleaned up a bit - a bit of fingerprinting from use, but no significant scratches or nicks
- recently cleaned inside and serviced by very good vintage tech with specific Sansui experience
- switches cleaned, offset bias set, etc
- sounds good, although a full rebuild with some upgrades would improve - my upgraded 719 does sound better

Tu-717 tuner
- 8 maybe 8.5 out of 10 - no nicks or scratches of significance
- recently serviced, and aligned by same tech
- lights original and i think all working

SC-3330 cassette deck
- very nice one - 8 to 8.5 out of 10 condition
- recent service and I think calibration - belt checked and either good or replaced
- works very well

SE-7 Equalizer
- nice one as in 8 to 8.5 out of 10
- havent tried it out, but should be ok...will test before finalizing sale

Equipment stand with Sansui rails
- very nice shape - 8 or better
- not branded Sansui, but sold by dealers at the time
- note that Sansui uses unique rack bolt spacing - you need a Sansui specific rack to fit Sansui pieces

4 sets of rack handles as shown

Factory boxes for speakers, amp, and tuner. Getting a little tattered with age, but still nice to have. Speaker foams mostly there, other foams missing.

Selling as a set only at this time.

May consider seperating at some point.

Free delivery to Calgary, Red Deer, on my schedule. Edmonton for gas money. Free delivery to Vancouver or Victoria as i plan a road trip that way in a few weeks.

Shipping? Would do it, but speakers especially will be costly unless you have a deal with a carrier. I will need to charge a bit for packaging materials and my time. I am very good at packaging, but takes a lot of time to do it right. Even with factory boxes, probably average 1.5 to 2 hours per box x 9 boxes = pain.. Would do double boxing with 1 in styrofoam between.

No refunds or returns if shipped.

Price? Do your homework and you will realize that this is a pretty fair deal. You could easily pay a grand more buying it piece by piece, and the speakers especially are not easy to find. For recapped or superior examples of the power units. I've aware of actual recent sales that would total $4500-5000.

A good question at a time like this - where are you going to find another?

May consider part trade of something interesting - or shiny. I'm stupid for shiny.

Audition and inspection recommended.
