Sep 1 - Deposit in hand, probably sold

Turning out to be some of mt favorite soeakers fir the price.....if i sell orhers will keep em.

If you're into tubes, especially low power - consider this opportunity.

Good sounding speakers on any amp - but very good on tubes

Very efficient at 95 db. maybe better. Cant find a spec at moment.

The B139 "racetrack" oval woofer really digs deep and also very musical, warm and rich bass.

And even on a 3 watt SET tube amp - that lucious bass is there - just not able to push sound levels as high as bigger amps.

If you'd told me a couple years ago that 3 watts could sound even half this good - i'd have been very dubious. Dont believe? Come by to hear for yourself.

Havent done an A/B sound off - but am pretty sure will destroy Klipsch Heresy, which are well known choice for tubes - and are similar money or more.

Quite rare. I've not seen another pair for sale in last couple of years. Have seen a couple of other slightly newer models come up - Calinda and Cantata, but those are bit newer, and perhaps not as suitable for low power tubes?

Built from 1969 to 1977, when much of the audio community still used tubes. These show factory inspected in 1972.

Crossovers redone about 2 years ago - all new caps, and the correct value original type - ordered in from UK from people who know these things.

Offering for sale as i may be moving out of my SET amp, plus found a set of big brother Cantatas (see last photo), plus have just way too many good quality speakers at moment and feeling like a little piggy. Someone else can most likely make better use of these - at least use them - been sitting for couple months now.

Bad news dept - yeah, well - i'm an idiot and one speaker ended up falling off its stand. Damaged one top corner pretty significantly, and couple other dings as well. Crap and a half. I'm sure someone with a bit of tlc and wood skills could do a nice recovery here - am sure a lot of improvement is possible, but never be perfect or mint unless reveneered whole speaker. See photos. Price discounted to reflect this.

Rest of cabinets good - probably a strong 7 - 7.5 out of 10, as compared to a few other unrestored sets. Grills are really good, and high quality fabric. Some finish deterioration on tops, but not awful. Real wood veneer of course. A bit of finish restoration and patch up that corner and would be great looking again.

Note - these are factory built, not a kit. KEF sold kits as well.

Woofer surrounds are neoprene and in good shape, so no refoaming needed.
