For sale is my custom sealed subwoofer. This is no ordinary subwoofer commonly found in these neck of the woods on CAM. What you're looking at here is a creme of the crop beast which weighs in at 250lbs of solid, sound quality and tremendous output... the last ever subwoofer you'll need to buy.
No expenses was spared putting this together, a 150lb driver - BHS24 (this NOT the smaller and $700 cheaper HS24 mk2) from Stereo Integrity, the SP1-4000HT plate amplifier was used from the industry leading SpeakerPower and the cabinet was professionally CNC'd and handcrafted. DSP has been programmed down to 5hz!
Cabinet - net internal 10 cubic feet:
3/4" Grade A Baltic Birch was used throughout. A triple baffle and heavy bracing was used to ensure the driver doesn't rattle the cabinet loose from it's 3" peak to peak excursion. Pocket screws, glue and PL was used to fasten and hold everything down. Walnut veneer was used on all visible corners of the cabinet, solid walnut inlays were used on the corners and the top have solid 3/4" of solid walnut then applied 8 coats of high-gloss. The feet are 1.5" tall, solid baltic birch wrapped with solid walnut wood.
Total cabinet size is 40"w x 25.5" tall (27" with feet) x 21.5" depth
Stereo Integrity BHS-24d1. Capable of easily handling 4000w RMS, 42mm x-max and low inductance of 2.5mH which delivers the "fast/tight/punchy" adjectives audiophiles use to describe a subwoofers sound quality.
The older and smaller HS-24 version has been third party tested here: http://www.data-bass.com/data?page=system&id=115&mset=127 with that type of performance, you would need 6-8 co-located subwoofers, such as the highly coveted SVS SB-13Ultra to match its output.
In my smaller room and with this subwoofer, it will hit reference levels at 5hz (five hertz)... even though it was compressing ear drums and making the entire room shake as if it was a moderate earthquake happening, I've measured and verified this output with a capable mic.
SP1-4000HT from SpeakerPower (http://www.speakerpower.net/store/p28/SP1-4000-HT.html), over 90% efficiency, 4000w RMS (no need to use the marketing word "peak/dynamic" power here). DSP'd program.
Auto On with signal present
• 12V trigger
• Powerful DSP for manufacturer settings of limiters, equalization, high pass filter etc.
• 4 DSP programmable rotary controls for users. Typical functions assigned are; Volume, Low Frequency equalization, Crossover, Delay
• Full bridge outputs for no current pumping
• Power specified at low frequencies where you need it.
• State of the art modulation and feedback networks for low distortion and invariant frequency response with load.
Warranty on amplifier: 3 years (parts and labor)
Costs - $1900 usd + $200 shipping for the driver, $950 + $120 shipping for the amp = $400CAD + $800CAD cost for the cabinet + hst. My price is $3000.00 FIRM.
Here's a comparable product: https://www.deepseasound.com/products/mariana-24sr-24-subwoofer - please note it does not use the monster BHS driver like the one found in my sub.
And here's the most important part... why am I selling? Downsizing. My loss is your gain
As much as I want to see folks experience the greatness of this subwoofer, I will only demo to those that are interested in purchasing it. Time these days has been a precious commodity.
