They all tested very strong and no gas leaks or shorts
They are identical to the internal construction and formula as the famous Bugle Boys and were tooled the exact same!
EIA Philips Codes are - I65-r414.
They were made in 1963 + 64.
All test very strong into the 90%'s on my B+K tube tester.

These Philip Electrohome I65-type tubes are some of the best sounding 12AX7’s ever made.
They are famous for their solid bass, warm mids, and fabulous highs!
These are a perfect choice for complimenting great phono stage
Tubes look exactly like the Electrohome pictured.

They do not have the the stamped bugle boys logo, however this was common during this period of rebranding at the factory.
Electronic companies deceived the pubic by saying stuff like "use only genuine tubes" etc. Inked production number says AY
PHILIPS AMPEREX ELECTROHOME 7025A / 12AX7 Tubes which is the low noise version of a 12AX7
They will play louder and longer than most other ECC83 / 7025 / 12AX7 tubes, however without distortion/static noise!
(VERY QUIET NO NOISE TUBES!)
You can really turn up the volume and the highs stay immaculately clean for hours!!!
(So far I've let them play in my amps/pre amps for 4 days straight without any hick ups)

PHILIPS ELECTROHOME 12AX7 / 7025A

Code: I65
Identified by:
- ring getter
- similar to Heerlen I65 tube

Philips Amperex was an American company that re-labeled tubes from many sources.
Many were from Heerlen, Holland (with a delta-shaped factory etch code)
The Bugle Boy 12AX7 was made in the Heerlan factory.
There were at least five different distinct variations of that tube type, depending on the date of manufacturing.

Tube aficionado's know these tubes to be and sound among the best ever made!!!!

These tubes have most quiet, low noise distinct sonic characteristics and sound very good, no modern current made tubes are quite as good as these vintage tubes!

Philips owns Amperex and made + sold tubes stamped-branded Electrohome which bought tubes from Phillips, and the tubes they used are the same design, and had the same final testing as Amperex, Philips or Bugle Boy tubes.

These are early 1960's Philips Amperex 12AX7 / 7025A "hi fi" low noise version of the 12AX7.
All other specifications are the same as 12AX7.
Some of these tubes were factory doubled stamped marked with 12AX7 and 7025 both
These are special non-microphonic and low hum, noise version of the 12AX7
These are the Philip's Amperex made vintage 1960-64, branded Electrohome
These tubes were exclusively produced + tooled and built the exactly as Amperex Bugle Boys, being wholesaled in bulk by Philips only for the organ grade market offering "premium" version of the European (Holland) made 12AX7.

This is the "premium" version of the European 12AX7.
These ECC83 7025 12AX7 select version tubes,
were made exclusively by Philips Amperex for Electrohome for their organ grade markets.
These are usually found on certain Amperex brand tubes only.
These have extra thick mica spacers and extra support rods to minimize microphonic response. Late versions produced by Philips/ECG did not perform as well as these older produced tubes did,and do!
Were not as well known as their brother Bugle Boys because they were only made for a few short years by Philips
All these Philips Amperex branded Electrohome, most are NOS,some used for 20 hours as burn ins.
All still test very strong like new, test results show all tubes 97% -120% on a calibrated B+K tube tester.
Tubes did not come in original boxes as they were sold in bulk to Electrohome for the organ grade markets
The $100.00 price is for a matching pair of these tubes including shipping to anywhere in Canada!
You could pay more......but these excellent tubes are available now @ $100.00 a matched pair!

Shipping is by Canada Post parcel service

Founded in 1907, Electrohome was Canada's largest manufacturer of television sets (TVs) from 1949 to 1984.
The company was also involved in television broadcasting, and was a leader in data, video, graphics displays and projectors.
From 1984 to 1999, Electrohome-branded TVs were produced under licence by Mitsubishi Electric, and from 1999 to 2007 by Jutan (distributed by Canadian distributor Citizen Electronics).
The company underwent an orderly wind-up in late 2008. In February 2010, the Electrohome brand was acquired by Bluetronics Group a division of Circus World Displays Limited (CWD).
On March 5, 2007, the Redmond Group of Companies announced the purchase of Electrohome brands effective January 1, 2008. Later that month, on March 27, Synnex announced the purchase of the Redmond Group Electrohome assets.
In January 2008, Electrohome announced the sale of all of its trademarks to Synnex Corporation. Electrohome now derived most of its income from its licensing, minor stock holdings in Mechdyne/Fakespace Systems which provides visualization solutions for data analysis, and owns digital cinema firm Immersion Studios.
The company began an orderly wind-up in late 2008.
In February 2010, the Electrohome brand was acquired by Bluetronics Group, a division of Circus World Displays Limited (CWD). Also included in the purchase were the rights to Magnasonic, Secureguard and Citizen (Canada only) brands, amongst many others.
Based in Niagara Falls, Canada, CWD also owns and operates other brands including Fluance, Nyrius, Levana, SVAT, Defender and Pure Therapy

Several 12AT7 ECC81 Black Plate tubes for sale or trade.....
Some of nicest sounding 12AT7 tubes every made and with their strong construction will continue to sound great for a very long time.
Tube shows the trademark which has acid etched codes so you know it's are for real.
This tube is in excellent condition and has never been used!
Military grade tubes are built sturdier than non-military types.
Some of the last ones left, these are great sounding tubes with that old British heritage.
Superb sonics and balanced sections make this an ideal upgrade replacement tube for Fender amps, vintage and current hi-fi amps and boutique guitar amps.
Super durable with long life.
Amazing sound, deep bass and articulated highs with that famous Mullard Sweetness and warmth!
It's probably one of the most misunderstood things about vacuum tubes:
The name on the tube is the company that made it right?
Well actually the answer is No - and that's why it can be so confusing.
The tube making giants of the 1940's, 50's and 60's were:
Amperex / GE ( General Electric) Mullard / Philips / RCA / Sylvania / Westinghouse to name some but certainly not all.
While it's true that they made tubes with their company name on the glass - the bulk of their production was devoted to making tubes under contract for other companies.
Remember the Zenith TV your family had in the living room back in the 70's?
All the tubes inside were labelled Zenith and Only Replace with Genuine Zenith Tubes.
Brilliant marketing but somewhat deceiving since Zenith didn't make tubes.
They bought them in bulk from GE and Sylvania and the supply contracts required that the tubes were labelled Zenith.
The public didn't know that - it made sense to replace a Zenith tube with a Zenith tube. Zenith knew that other brands could be used instead but they were protecting their repeat business.
This is just one example - multiply it by the 100's of other companies making TV's, organs, radio receivers, amplifiers, medical / test equipment and you can see how confusing this became.
All those different names on the glass but still only a handful of companies making tubes.
So how do you know who made a tube?
Learn to read the production codes - not the brand names.
Each tube will have markings which show two things - the company that made it and when it was made.
Once you learn these codes it makes tube identification easy and allows you to find good deals. There are a lot of good resources on the web that will teach you about production / date codes

Also have several 12AX7 tubes made by Philips Amperex: some labelled for Rogers or Electrohome and the 1st one as an Amperex Bugle Boy. Guess what?
They all sound the same. Why?
Because they were made on the same assembly line, using the same materials and method of construction and with the same testing afterwards. If Amperex made the tube it's going to sound like an Amperex tube.
Just like scotch tastes like scotch regardless if it was packaged in the familiar bottles or a glass mason jar.
The only difference is the tube on the far left will sell for double the price - because it has the Bugle Boy logo. We've been brought up to think that the label on the outside is the most important factor and that simply isn't the case.
The label means nothing - who made the tube is what your ears hear.

The Philips Amperex Mullards 12AX7 that have someone else's name branded on the glass such as Electrohome, but still will give you all the great sound you'd expect from these companies.
Thanks for your time - hope you've found this helpful!

Tubes tested on a rebuilt, recently calibrated B&K tube tester.
All tubes are NOS/NIB and test as such with no leaks or shorts.
1-4 tubes are the same shipping cost which is by Canada Post regular parcel service,
and is usually $15.00 to anywhere in Canada.
Minimum order is $50.00 or more
Any purchase over $160.00 and shipping is on me!
All tubes will be very well packed and wrapped with bubble wrap!
Local GTA pickup also welcome.
Accepted payment is by; Cash/EMT/Canada Post money gram or orders
Thanks for looking.
