Here are a few comments from reviews
They have a detailed and sweet treble of the highest quality and a midrange with a haunting presence and intimacy
To put it plain and simple it is the most natural I have ever heard. Period. - 6 Moons - July 2007
Very smooth very insightful silky couth and detailed with oodles of atmosphere..." - HiFi World
These cables dig very deeply into each and every note and unfailingly offer harmonic information that many other cables either supress or ignore completely." - 10Audio.com
Slinkylinks interconnects and speaker cables produced the most three-dimensional soundstage the smoothest midrange and top-end and the best image and focus." - Tone Magazine
The Slinkylinks cables sounded better. period. More natural. More open. More relaxed. More like music" - Unlimited Gear Magazine
Slinkylinks can be proud of these products. Both hold their own with others costing three or four times the price." - Audioenz
In summary the Slinkylinks is a truly fantastic world-class audiophile speaker cable at a commendably affordable price. They outperformed all the other speaker cables that I have evaluated.
I would have to seriously think twice about spending more money to get a better speaker cable. If I ever owned a more expensive system I am confident that the Slinlnks would be up to the task.
Tone magazine review.
How does it sound?
Well, nothing really - a good cable should not make any sound of itself, and the Slinkylinks doesn't present any sound of it's own.
Silver Cables have a reputation for being bright and intrusive. There is none of this in the Slinkylinks. They're completely neutral.
I have listened to all kinds of music, from the Viking era to the present day, and I can only conclude that Slinkylinks do make really good cables.
They play engaging and lively with a high presence, without being intrusive. They work very well as a happyfix, they're never boring.
