PRICE REDUCED! I have an octet of Telefunken 12AX7 REDTIPS. Those in the know consider these among the rarest of the Telefunkens and among the finest. I forgot I had them. I used them for about 15 hours and because they were considered to precious I took them out of the Bel Cantos I used to own and wrapped them up. I then just forgot I had them. They are all in MINT PERFECT condition with, as I say, perhaps no more than 20 hours. I had many types of 12AX7's including Tungsrams, EI, Telefunken (not the red tips and for sale here on the Gon), etc. In any event, these tubes, now almost unobtainable, list for about $550/pair new IF YOU COULD FIND A PAIR LET ALONE 2 QUADS. I'm not aware of anybody that has 2 quads in this condition.. I'll sell for $350/pair. They come in their original Telefunken boxes. I HATE to sale these tubes but I don't have any amps now using a 12AX7 so why will I keep them? It would only force me to find/buy an amp that uses AX7's and that's probably not the way one should choose an amp. So, if you're an audiophile who treasures the best and rarest, here they are. I'm weeping. Listed as "9" for AGE ONLY purposes. They are MINT. Check my feedback both here and on AudioGon ("catluck") to satisfy any concerns about integrity/honesty. I DO NOT HAVE A PAYPAL ACCOUNT SO PAYMENT IS BY CHECK OR MO ONLY. Also, I have no way of testing these tubes but they were purchased from an incredibly reputable old timer (who has since died) who was one of that last pioneers of Sylvania Televisions (if you're old enough to remember that) and who simply was the kindest and most honest person that I've met, perhaps in my lifetime. That's about all I can say.
