unit is excellent shape, powers on, but doesnt work,
the following is what someone who knows a fair bit about electronics has told me after looking at it:
" I suspect that the problem lies in the power supply. Neither the tone control nor the notch filter work so the problem seems common. Since the power light works and the unit will flicker a nearby light upon starting, I think the transformer is OK. The most fragile part of the PS is the DC rectifier and that would affect both sides.

My other speculation is that it could be the BYPASS switch itself. Since it works even when the unit is turned off, it is evidently completely mechanical. If it is faulty, then no signal is getting through to the two circuits."
