+ .pdf copy of original sales/promotional brochure
+ Scan of x50 Series ‘User Information’, Set-up/ Instruction Manual
+ 20 feet of good quality 14-gauge speaker wire

A vintage speaker from the famed Canadian company before it became part of API (Audio Products International), and then sadly part of the Klipsch empire. One of the early series that helped establish the company’s reputation. Asking $125

Combine this receiver with the Pioneer SX-737 AM/FM Stereo Receiver that I have listed (see separate Ad) for a total package price of $225.
If purchased at my asking price, or real close to it, I’ll include a Sony TC-WR710 ‘Dual-Well’ Stereo Cassette Deck. I believe this was Sony’s top-of-the-line dual-well deck at the time

Mirage literature refers to the 350 as 'bookshelf' speakers, but by their size probably more accurately are 'stand-mount' speakers.
Suitable stands also available: MDF, 20-inches high, Black Ash - $30

Overall, in terrific shape. These never have been used as plant stands, etc! There may be some very minor scratches or scuffs, but not readily apparent to these (aged) eyes

Designed and built in Canada

Design of the x50 series has been attributed to Kevin Voecks, an American then living in Canada, who went on to Snell Acoustics and Revel (Harman High Performance A/V)

In Issue 39, Autumn 1985, 'The Absolute Sound' magazine ran a 13-page Special Report, 'The $2,500 High End Ticket: Desert Island Systems for the Fiscally Impoverished'. Six of the Reviewing Staff answered the question, "What system would you put together on a limited budget, say, $2,500?"

Robert J. Reina picked the Mirage 750 speakers for his 'Desert Island' system, noting, "Kevin Voecks is a genius, no ifs, ands, or buts. And this is the top of the Mirage line. When I heard this speaker, I said to myself: "There are colorations; there are anomalies; but listen to the detail. The open midrange, the soundstaging, the excellent bass for such a small enclosure. I can’t believe this wonderful music is coming from a ho-hum-looking box speaker. An excellent $1,500 speaker." But it only costs $650..."
Reina added the following postscript: "For an under-$1,000 desert island system, make the following adjustments to my recommendations: ...replace the Mirage 750s with the superb 350s, either on stands or on a bookshelf."

'Critic’s Choice Award' from Sound & Vision Canada magazine, July/August 1986 issue, by Ian G. Masters

Cabinets are solidly-constructed of ¾- and ⅝-inch thick high-density particle-board, internally-braced. Covered in medium-brown woodgrain-vinyl, clean and in excellent shape {At last, a speaker NOT in Black Ash}

Both 'Mirage' badges are present. Removable grilles are wrapped in chocolate brown cloth. Both are without blemish – no snags, pulls, holes. Grille frames, and mounting pegs and posts all are in excellent condition

5-way binding posts will take banana plugs or spade connectors, or bare-ended speaker wire. Consecutive serial numbers.

All drivers are original, and look and work perfectly. Woofer surrounds recently have been replaced – good for many years to come
