Fisher tube amplifiers are highly desirable but Fisher speakers from the 60s are quite rare and little known.. The XP-10 was one of the largest and most expensive of the TOTL Heritage series from the 1960s. The speakers are large, heavy, and beautifully made furniture with book-matched walnut veneer and solid walnut trim.
Given the poor reputation of modern Fisher speakers, I was not prepared for how excellent these speakers sound. The sound is warm but clean with clear deep, (not boomy) bass. The previous owner replaced the original Fisher tweeters with high-quality Morel tweeters which deliver crystal clear highs. These speakers are also efficient and would be an excellent period match for tube amplifiers. I consider these speakers comparable to heritage Klipsch speakers such as the Cornwall.
