Works on the Hafler Effect in which out-of-phase signals are routed to rear speaker(s) producing sounds behind the listener's position, depending on program material. Although similar in principle to Dolby Pro-Logic and Dolby Surround, this unit is purely passive, does not require additional amplifiers and surround home theatre preamp or receiver, and therefore produces a somewhat subtler but WAY MORE NATURAL surround effect with no weird sibilants, weirdly positioned dialogue or "phasey" splashy artifacts, and no weird volume pumping between front and rear channels like with Dolby's. Just connect the amp's main speaker output to the unit, then route the various speaker cables: L and R front, 1 Rear or L and R rear. Buyer pays exact shipping and 3% PayPal fee.
