Look no further if you are looking for a simply amazing amp for your home theater set up. This amp has power to spare with 200W/channel to all of seven channels at 8ohms (300W/channel at 4ohms!!)
Make no mistake though, this amp also has the finesse for serious music listening as well. It is manufactured by ATI (Amplifier Technologies Inc.) who make very highly regarded/reviewed amps. It has a Class AB design, two enormous torroidal power transformers with bifilar winding on MOH cores and each channel has its own set of windings. It is modular with each channel having its own board, power supply and heatsink, making this nearly as close as you can get to having seven monoblock amps, in one case. Excellent specs across the board, see below.
My speakers have a 103db sensitivity and this amp was dead silent, no noise at all.
No fan, unlike with some amps for HT installs, this is passively cooled. Also come with removable rack ears for rack mounting.
These amps (at $5000US retail) are used in multi-10s of thousand dollar to $100,000++, award winning HT systems and there is a reason for it.
I am also including a Crestron Cresnet power supply (about $300) which is required to use this amp. This amp can be integrated in a full Cresnet control system and has internal diagnostic systems (i.e., temperature) built in, but you can use it as well as a stand-alone amp.
Currently the power cable is wired with a standard 15A plug for use on a standard 15amp circuit as there was no way I would ever get it to draw its maximum, but if you would like I will have a 20A plug installed.
Amp weighs 95lbs unpacked so I would prefer a local sale, willing to audition in home for CAM members with 100% positive feedback. Will deliver and help hook up in your system to test, if you do not have feedback. Will consider shipping, at buyer's expense. Will double box.
