Description

The DC300A is a powerhouse that can produce 300 watts per channedl into 4 ohm loads. In original Crown walnut case. All original. This is the second generation Crown amp. The IC150 preamp is first generation. It has been totally recapped with new high quality low impedance caps throughout. All tantalum and ceramic caps have been replaced with low esr electrolytics, films or eliminated. The phono stage is very quiet and all discrete components. I do not have the walnut case for the preamp. The opamps in the line stage have been replaced with Burr Browns making the sound much warmer. Beautiful clarty without the harshness of the original. I have an IC150A which I modded as above and it is now my primary system replacing even my McIntoshs. The combination is awesome. Clean mids and highs without and hardness and tight clean deep bass. The DC 300A has so much effortless power with any load it sound like you've added a sub to your speakers without that wooly sound of an external sub. Both amp and preamp are in very good condition with relatively little wear and tear. $700.00
