Designed in Chicago, beautifully made in Japan in the early seventies, this gem sounds rich, musical and more powerful than it's 17 watt/channel rating. It has an excellent tuner section, sounds great with digital sources and vinyl. It's driving a pair of 4 ohm speakers as I write this ad, and it's filling my room easily. I think it's much better than a Marantz 2220, and with it's real woodcase, a much better value. Cosmetically, it's very clean inside and out, with just a few dings on the wood case, that I will remove when the weather allows me to sand outside. All controls are clean quiet and fully functional.
