Blue Circle Galatea Mk. I, upgraded with GZpz Power Supply
(contact me for Photos - my images are too large to post)

My Single Ended unit also comes with an 8 ft umbilical cord (to link the Galatea to the GZpz. The 6 ft GZpz power cord is also upgraded (BC 62), with Neutrick connection (solid connection).

This is the second Galatea Mk.I, that I've owned and, the reason for that is quite simple - it's fairly inexpensive and delivers the 'G.B.' factor. Toss in some NOS tubes, and it really amps
the 'WOW' factor. I thought that the stock Galatea had sounded pretty good but, after I upgraded to the GZpz power supply - it was simply - outstanding.

The Galatea Mk.I, for those not in the know, is the 3rd down from the top of Blue Circles preamps and, I feel the most bang for your buck. As you climb the ladder, the sound just gets progressively
more detailed but, not necessarily more involving. I've heard the BC 3000 MK.I and Mk.II and still prefer this version of the Galatea over them.

Add in the GZpz, with 20 times the DC filtering of the stock PS, you get much more inky black silences between the notes. Instruments flesh out and tonality sounds more real. Bottom end
gets more slam, and the presentation is just more fluid, effortless and, most critically - involving.

I know there are alot of fans out there who lust after the newer Modwright LS and/or with DM and I'm not going to knock Dan's gear - I own one of his amps but, for the dollar invested, my Galatea
MK. I with GZpz is easily equal to the same audio Nirvana as the full MW 36.5 LS/DM combo and, it's much less. This Galatea combo will also easily take on all preamp contenders, in its
same price range and, equal many that cost quite a few buck more. Toss in that you can roll many 6922/6DJ8 variants - to dial in the sound you/your gear compliments and, it's a solid winner.

BC Mk.I unit is: 17.5" W x 14.6" D x 5.375" H
Gzpz is: 17.5" W x 14.6" D x 3.0" H

I'm offering this Galatea combo with just the stock Sovtek tubes. If you are interested in some NOS tubes, I will sell separately my:
- Amperex PQ 6922
- Mullard 6922
- Amperex 6DJ8
All of these are sweet sounding, quiet tubes that really bring out the 'life' in this dynamic duo combo.

If paying via PayPal - please add 3%. My preference is to deal with CAM members of good standing.
