Up for sale is a virtually new Sony Str-da3000es digital home theatre receiver. The 3000es is part of Sony's "ES" line and features full digital amplification. This receiver is highly rated both at audio circle and audioholics as its S-Master Pro technology produces a smooth, tube like sound without sounding hard or etched as other digital receivers are known to produce. As the 3000es uses digital amplification, no unnecessary A/D and D/A is performed on any signal that originates in the digital domain until the signal reaches the speaker terminals, allowing for exceptional clarity and detail often lost in other analog receivers. This makes for terrific clarity when watching dvds or listening to cds. The 3000es features 150 watts per channel times 7 channels all driven simultaneously and does not distort or break up when pushed to its limits. This model sold last year for $1499 plus tax at the Sony Store and has all appropriate upgrades and fixes (no hiss, no protector codes etc.). Unit has only been used a few weeks and carries almost full 3 years warranty. Comes with 2 remotes, manuals and all original packaging. Asking $850 obo.
