I have a perfect pair of the first generation of Silverline Sonatinas in the beautiful burl-briarwood finish as pictured in the review. I purchased them from the original owner in NYC who bought them directly from Silverline (they have only been shipped once as I brought them back by car). Looking over the speakers, I can not see any marks or scratches on them-they are perfect, I've taken careful care of them and they have rarely been moved. I've used them mostly in my second system with an Audiomat Arpege amp.

I've had the original capacitors in the crossover (which were Solen) switched to higher quality Mundorf capacitors.. The Mundorf caps make a modest but noticeable gain in clarity, particularly in the mids and treble, but does not change the original character of the speaker at all. I have to original capacitors if you wanted to switch them back. These speakers give one a taste of real high end sound at an affordable price. With the original Avalon beveled fronts, they image incredibly well and are the most coherent speaker that I've heard.

I have the original triple boxes and the packing material for the speakers but I would prefer to sell locally. I'm in Hamilton but could deliver them within the Mid to Western GTA, K/W or Niagara area.

The speakers retailed for $4000.00 US, the capacitor upgrade was another 200.00, I'm looking for 1700 firm. I should have some photos up soon but mine are exactly as pictured in the review. I also have the grills.
