Description

** This Ad is Marked as SOLD by seller and cannot be responded to. **
The Model 19 is widely considered one of the best 2-way speakers EVER made, and they're highly sought-after by collectors and audiophiles alike.

These ones work perfectly and can be fully tested before purchase.

Cabinets
I stained and oiled the cabinets and although I'm not a pro or anything, I think I did a pretty good job. There are still some flaws, ie. chips and dings on some edges of the boxes, some small pieces of missing or reglued veneer - but they're intact, sound, and looking good. The black footers are both present, but one was broken into several pieces, which I glued back together with wood glue. It seems sturdy, but the buyer should be aware of this fact nonetheless.

Covers
The original covers are included but not in great cosmetic shape, having a few small tears and lots of small snags in the fabric. In the pictures it looks like there are stains on them, but I think that's only revealed by the flash since I've never noticed them under normal lighting. Some of the internal braces are missing, but they're still intact and very solid. The Altec Lansing logos are present and in excellent condition.

Drivers
The drivers are all original. The LFs are 416-8B's with massive dark hammertone cast baskets. The HFs are 33952's (802-8G's) with tangerine phase plugs.

There is one big issue that I must mention for full disclosure: I repaired the cone of one woofer, which looked like someone had put their fist through it. The repair, although obvious, is solid and the woofer works perfectly. After doing the repair I put test tones through it at high volume and it never flinched even at 40Hz! In the 6 months I've used the speakers I've never had an issue with this woofer, but again I want to be completely upfront about it so no one's expecting perfect, untouched woofers.

Because of the repair, I lightly spray-painted the cones of both woofers black so the damaged area wouldn't be as noticeable and the speakers would still match cosmetically.

Both dustcaps were pushed in and have been pulled out, although the're still kind of wrinkled.

Please see the pictures below to get the idea - these speakers work and look great, but I'm picky so I've mentioned all the flaws of any size.

Due to the size and weight of these speakers, they are for local sale only unless the buyer makes all arrangements to have them crated and shipped.

Asking $800. Preference given to those who can pick them up soonest!
