Expandable Nylon sleeve has a much higher strand count than our Polyester sleeve and has a smooth, luxurious feel. Nylon sleeve does not fray like Polyester expandable sleeve (Techflex), and will not melt as easily when applying shrinktube with the heat gun. Nylon sleeve because of it's tight weave does not expand as much as the Polyester sleeve. For this reason it is best to select the size which is closest to your actual cable O.D. (or larger). The 1/4" sleeve is best suited to 5-7 mm O.D. cables such as the Mogami 2534. Other available sizes include: 3/16", 3/8", 1/2" and 5/8". Only available in Black. Give your next cable project that luxury look and feel! NYLON sleevings are characterized by their extreme flexibility, high strength, toughness and resistance to abrasion. NYLON sleeving melts before burning. It softens at about 225°C and melts at about 250°C.
