***Reduced***Up for Sale is the highly regarded Prima Integrated Amplifier.
The intent of this amplifier design is to take advantage of tube amplification without expensive and huge transformers while providing comfortable output power for hard to drive speakers. Therefore Audio Aero chose a hybrid concept.
Audio Aero selected the 6021W sub-miniature tube for preamplifier stage (1 tube per channel). Directly soldered to PCB and small sized this tube built upon military standards avoids wrong contacts due to the socket shortens the signal path is less sensitive to vibrations while being the perfect match with surface mount components environment. The volume control performed in the analogue domain is achieved by a ladder attenuator invisible to the signal.
For the power part Audio Aero selected the TDA 7294V solid state DMOS-FET. This very musical integrated power circuit is the perfect match to the tube and 2 units par channel produce up to 150 watts under 4 ohms.
This special configuration allows merging the best of both worlds; the tube stage is giving the texture timbre and soundstage while the solid state stage is giving precision and power.
Built with the same care as AA's top of the range products it features remote-controlled volume and includes 4 line inputs a pre-amplified output and a tape monitor.
