Completely rebuilt to original.

Circa 1970 and made in the US at KOSS Corporation, Milwaukee, WI, these are a fine set of speaker. Very efficient and true to the sound that's being played through them. The crossovers were completely refurbished with high quality resistors and capacitors. The switches have been replaced with heavy duty ones that will last a life time. The drivers are completely original and are all working excellent. The cabinets are in prestine shape and are made of real wood with little to no scratches or dents. The grills have some wear but not noticable. Given the age, these speakers are in excellent shape and will last you another 50 years.

Built in EQ, both Models offer switches to electronically adjust the sound at the tweeter, treble and midrange, found on the front of the speakers. The audible results of the switches are as follows: The midrange switches on the control panels of the CM/1020 give the midranges a boost of 3 dB, moving vocalists forward in the music. A 3 dB decrease places them behind the instruments. The CM/1020 tweeter switch adds additional sparkle and shimmer to cymbals and tambourine in the + 3 dB position. The - 3 dB position is useful if the listening room is very "bright" and" alive"( little furniture, hardwood floors, e tc.), and gives a more natural balance between high and low frequencies. It also helps to mask surface hiss and scratches found in older recordings and in some broadcast material.
