Strengths:
lots of power good dynamics PRICE.

Excellent power amp for this low price. Sounds warm and smooth and very clean. Build quality is excellent for the price.Good detail imaging and depth of soundstage. Handles transients easily and solo instrument or vocal image does not wander or smear when a complex orchestral passage joins in. Runs cool even after been in use for some time. Very important: it can be bridged to mono and its power grows to 360W. Many people do so and in pair with one more RB-981 it'll make an excellent choice ..... And also it runs 4 ohms without any problem.
I was happy with this AMP for several yers but now I'm upgrading my gear to PASS LAB and have to say good bye to my RB-981.
